Non-Discrimination

This proposal is about expanding anti-discrimination protections to more part-time faculty and providing faculty with real recourse against harassment. The bargaining committee seeks to:

  • Expand the list of protected classes to include people who are pregnant or breast-feeding, physical and mental disability, caregiver status, medical conditions, genetic info and ethnic origin.

  • Provide faculty real recourse against harassment and discrimination by ensuring that they have right to bring complaints of discrimination and harassment to a neutral, third-party arbitrator with the help of their union reps.
