Non-Discrimination
This proposal is about expanding anti-discrimination protections to more part-time faculty and providing faculty with real recourse against harassment. The bargaining committee seeks to:
Expand the list of protected classes to include people who are pregnant or breast-feeding, physical and mental disability, caregiver status, medical conditions, genetic info and ethnic origin.
Provide faculty real recourse against harassment and discrimination by ensuring that they have right to bring complaints of discrimination and harassment to a neutral, third-party arbitrator with the help of their union reps.
